Lets take a moment

"TWEET ME" was added to Sweethearts candy for 2010. It's especially sad to me because valentines day is one of my favorite holidays. Not because of "romance" or anything gooey like that but because there's something so simple and yet obvious about the holiday: it's about LOVE. Its' mascot is a fat baby with a bow and arrow to shoot love at people. So obvious. Unlike its' rival holidays, there's no obscure bunny or fat man with a beard who, for some reason lives in the north pole with midget labor.

Everything about the holiday is endearingly quaint. UNTIL TWEET ME HAPPENED TO THE ONCE CHARMING SWEETHEART CANDY.

In protest to this sad, sad addition, i will NOT be buying Sweethearts this year.
