slumber party

2500 people at hollywood forever cemetery for bon iver's sunrise show.

doors opened at 12am...most people slept, some people drank coffee from the "gospel swamp" coffee stand, and others watched the projected movies until 5:30 am when the buddhist monks started their blessing chants.

i'm not usually one that reminisces on this annual memorial, but for some reason this year i am reminiscing. i spent a good part of the day reading other passengers' accounts from the 4 days we all spent in the tiny town of Gander, Newfoundland on september 11, 2001.
